No. of calls received in 3 hours: 6 (for the past 2 days now...argh)

BORED. That is the code word for the day. BORED.

Have begun my "inbound" status at work where I receive incoming calls ALL THE LIVE LONG DAY. Am v. bored and cannot imagine going through this day in and day out. Am too lazy to look for another job...and may actually get promotion so I do not want to leave just yet.

Poor Ten...she is not having the best week already. She is a bit frustrated and I think she should sit this weekend out and not go to Vegas.

We were supposed to go out this past Friday, but a certain person was in town and would join us and this could not be helped. I was not in the mood to have to deal with it, so I chose not to go.

Now, I realize that he may still be reading my blog...but discretion is not one of my strong suits, so I will be frank. Am not at all happy with the way things ended up after the whole Vegas debacle, and was even more angry at how I was reprimanded for "taking too long" to call him back. If you recall ("you" meaning anyone who give a flying fuck at this point, lol) last July /August, I went to Vegas for a co-ed bachelor party and I was sufficiently "dissed" by The Bachelor at The Beach night club. After much coaxing by the other 2 gals in our party to go up and do body shots, I was promptly pulled off the bar and told that they didn't have enough money for me and had to subsequently do the "walk of shame", feeling quite too old to be there and very upset in my drunken state. UNLV had an earful in the car on the way back to The Venitian.

After that, I decided to take a break from the clubbers that I had hung out with, feeling that they were just too shallow and that scene and those people just didn't appeal to me anymore. I also took a break from The Bachelor and said I needed some time to think. After about a month, I contacted him by email, and he had the NERVE to tell me that I "took too long" to get back to him about this situation...and as one of my more wise friends had put it..."is there a time limit on your friendship?" NO I say!

So back to this past Friday...Ten said that Mr. Bachelor said that it was ok with him if I came to hang out, that he was fine with everything and he had no problem speaking to me. WELL HOW FUCKING BIG OF YOU.

My ultimate problem with him is that he never just said that what he did was wrong. That maybe he could have gotten someone to pay or just let me go up there and pay later. He never just let it be that he was wrong. He had to tell me that he never meant to make me feel like I was too old to be there...BUT THAT I SHOULDN'T HAVE LET THAT MUCH TIME PASS BETWEEN THE INCIDENT AND WHEN I CONTACTED HIM. I had sent about 3 emails back to him explaining that if he would just let it go, then it would be resolved. He would say that he did let it go, but that I was still WRONG for not getting back to him sooner.

So I stopped talking to him.

I am not up to fighting people who have to always be right. For instance, UNLV sent me a very cryptic text message yesterday. I misunderstood it and sort of ripped into him about only responding to my hello message on Sunday by mistakenly sending a text meant for someone else and blabbered on about how hurt I was. He promptly corrected me by telling me that it was a movie quote, and that it WAS meant for me.

Well...an apology text message and email was sent back for my stupidity and he said that it was ok and told me about the cool shotglass he got for me in Chicago.

*hangs head in shame*

SEE....I CAN ADMIT WHEN I'M WRONG.

Anyway. I saw naked pictures of Colin Firth yesterday from the German version of "Playmaker" and I am quite disctracted and excessively diverted.

COLIN FIRTH ON SNL! *swoon*

'ello there! Had dr.'s appointment Monday morning that went well. Last Friday was dinner and drinks with UNLV. Had a wonderful time...but couldn't stay out too late because had to be up to go to wedding on Saturday.

Sunday went to Tofee's party. Was nice outdoor event. Although there was one guy who dominated any conversation and had to find polite ways to leave the conversation. Wanted to talk to the British guy longer just to listen to the accent. Did I mention was a "poof" party? Seems Bridget and I have a lot in common, haha!

I must say that UNLV is looking quite handsome these days. He is already a v. handsome guy, but he is sticking to his low-carb diet and dressing quite well. Since we are going to Lake Havasu, should really put self in check and work on diet and exercise so as to look good when hanging out on his boat and the like.

Am v. moody lately. Being a woman has it's ups and downs, and this is one of it's downs. Am going to be v. frank and say that although I abhor it, I must remain on it...and that "it" is birth control. This is one of THE most wretched yet necessary things to be taking. Cannot believe how up and down my mood has been. Am already an occasional emotional mess, so this does not help. But must stick to it because there is no other side affect other than the moodiness. Was told that if the "pains" change from emotional to actual physical ones, then I will need to stop it.

Must practice good emotional management.

Fuck it all.

No. of hours of sleep total this week: 15

Am having v. fabulous week. Just checked IMDB.com and they added my uncredited PA job for "Bruce Almighty". Was v. worried that they wouldn't approve it, but of course they do a check of call sheets and the like to make sure one is telling the truth. HURRAH!

UNLV called last night to verify "dress code" for the wedding tomorrow. Going out tonight to our favorite dive bar. Will be v. glad to see him.

Got nails done yesterday, which makes for a difficult time typing. V. clicky noise occurs when have new nails. But they look great! Also maxed out AMEX gift card from work.

To those wondering what this secret happy news is...not to worry, all will be revealed sooner than you think. It's just not my happy news to share just yet, so discretion is of the utmost importance.

Have been wondering how it would be if I met Colin Firth...would I freeze, would I laugh out of nervousness, would I call him Mr. Firth...for worse yet, MR. DARCY?

Random thought.

Ok...back to work, have a good weekend!

No. of pieces of wonderful news this week: too many to count!

HURRAH! More good news...but can't say right now. Am being v. unclear, but cannot be helped. Shall tell more about it later...but am V. HAPPY!

If this is what it means "when it rains, it pours", I think I will play the lotto and hope that a storm is brewing!

This week just gets better and better!

Check THIS out:

There is a great local company in San Diego called "Local Celebrity". They have a website of awesome shirts and I own about 3 of them so far, and I bought 1 for UNLV. I had been looking all over the web for a "Keytar" shirt...which for those not in the know is a keyboard/guitar that rockers used in the 80's to get keyboardists out from the back and rockin' up front with their guitar and bass toting buddies. Since I'm a keyboard player/pianist, I wanted a funny shirt that used the Keytar.

I sent an email to Local Celebrity (names have been changed to protect the not so innocent):

Yo Local Celebs-

You all have the BEST shirts and I have been rockin'
them for about a year now (I think I've bought 4 so
far...I always see tons more that I want!), and I
always get compliments.

I'm a piano player/keyboardist. Although I've never
owned one, I would LOVE a shirt that says something
like "I rock the KEYTAR!" Wouldn't that be funny?
I'm sure you all can come up with something entirely
more clever than that, but I think a "keytar" shirt
would be a great addition to your already awesome
collection.

Just a suggestion!

Thanks for all the love!!! Seeing as how keyboardists are taking over
the world....we really do need to do a keyboard or keytar shirt! If we
decide to use your idea, we'll let you know & throw a free 'Keytar'
shirt your way.

Oh but of course! Sorry I didn't let you know we were coming out
with the shirt...I get so many e-mails, yours got lost in the shuffle
=(
What's your mailing address?

How AWESOME, huh?

Now, I know my more cynical friends would tell me that I should have maybe demanded copyrights or whatever...but that's not the point. I've always thought I had good ideas, and they're swimming randomly in my head most of the time. And believe me, there will be a point when the ideas in my head will also help me succeed in my own line of business sometime soon. I just like the fact that it was a good idea, that someone thought of the same thing and did something about it, I received validation for it, and that they remembered to make good on a promise.

Whether or not Local Celebrity will acknowledge who gave the idea, it doesn't matter to me. I looked for a Keytar shirt EVERYWHERE, could not find it, suggested it, and now I got one for free!

HAVE GOT NEW PRODUCTION GIG!

HURRAH! Have not worked in production in quite a long time. Last gig was "Bruce Almighty" and I didn't even get a proper credit in that one. Can't say what it's for yet, but it is for television.

OH JOY!!
No. of times have watched "Fever Pitch" (Colin Firth version): 4; No. of items bought with company gift card: 4 (and STILL there's money left over!)

Well hello! Is glorious day in the neighborhood, is it not? Ha ha! Did I mention that "Fever Pitch" arrived at my house on Friday afternoon? Yes, IT DID. Cute movie...Colin Firth is just 2 years outside of P&P in this one, and he's quite fuzzy, but damned adorable.

Am v. tired. Kitchen is coming along famously, living room is painted and furniture will be arriving next week!

Have found myself v. picky with shopping lately. Bought an outfit for my cousin't wedding this weekend. Cute patterned skirt with bits of orange...SORRY...tangerine, as is theme for her wedding. White jacket, white top and white shoes. All courtesy of the Covance American Express gift card!

This past weekend was busy. Friday my new business partner came over to hang out. Saturday, went with Ten to a jewelry party given by her friend Mulan. She got me a couple of necklaces for an early birthday present. Went to my cousin's house to practice the cha-cha and salsa for great aunt's birthday party. Vegged out that night and went to eat at Barona on Sunday with mum.

UNLV is coming down this weekend, hurrah! Thought I was going up to Vegas in 2 weeks, but turns out he has to go to LA for a conference, so he's coming here this Friday for a doctor's appointment and to stay the weekend. We haven't hung out in awhile, so it will be v. nice to see him.

Ack! Back to work!

Pope John Paul II passed away this weekend. I was only 8 years old when Pope John Paul I was elected then tragically died only after 34 days of being inducted. From the many reports and biographies that filled our televisions this weekend, Pope John Paul II took the same name as his predecessor to pay homage. In fact, a year after John Paul I's death, John Paul II went back to his birth town to make sure that day was honored.

I remember Pope John Paul II as being humanitarian and "The People's Pope". The images of a strong, caring man, frustrated by age and a weak body are ingrained my mind.

May his legacy live on, and I hope he becomes a saint.
No. of bad meals eaten over weekend: 10; FYI: IL is in National Championship for NCAA! More FYI: Have found picures from movie called "The Playmaker"... pervy thoughts of Colin Firth's bottom: 986512876184854435186173332219416

Busy, busy, busy! Have been asked to help plan program for Grand Aunt's birthday in October. Went to cousin's house this weekend to help figure out entertainment schedule. Had not realized that all of the nieces/nephews/cousins were planning the whole event. My uncle took care of everything last time with my father, and now the responsibility has been laid on us. Was actually fun with all the cousins and their children.

Am v. happy that kitchen is almost done. Have refused to weigh self until regimen from last year is fully in place. Have started the salad days again, and am V. HAPPY. Just had salad for lunch and was v. good.

Am going to start working out again. Will plan some form of exercise each day, and have yoga already planned for Wed.

Partial reason for sudden re-implimentation of workout and diet regimen? Well, part is that have not been able to fit in some of the newer clothes that I bought when I was slimming down for the summer last year. Got some cute pants at H&M last year, and they are a bit sung again. Second, UNLV has asked me to go with him to Lake Havasu for Memorial Day weekend, and I KNOW there will be lots of skin, and if I am to look fabulous, I must slim down.

Ok, now that's out of my system, I will go back to eating my peach cup. No more scary food as have been eating for the last 2 months without a kitchen. Now that I have a stove in place, there is no excuse to not do come cooking...even if there is no sink yet. That will come soon. Salads are easy with new fridge in the kitchen and stove to boil eggs.

NO MORE EXCUSES!
