Happy New Year!
I hope everyone had a happy and healthy one. Mine was happy but not AT ALL healthy! But I had a BLAST!
I hung out with UNLV and his mom and her boyfriend for New Year's Eve. We had dinner at Aubergine's, and footed the bill to boot! That was SO nice of them! Then they went home and we ended up roaming around Gaslamp...finding ourselves at our favorite dive bar (Alibi), and in a sports bar afterwards at an 80's party to ring in the new year. It was a lot of fun! The bartender (who found out is named Doug) was cool and gave us free drinks because UNLV stumped him on a couple and he couldn't figure out how to make them.
We did the same thing the next day, too...back to Alibi. We were definitely trying to get at least buzzed. After the 3rd and onto the 4th round of shots, the bartender said, "What are you 2 trying to do? Are you TRYING to get fucked up?" I explained my best friend hails from Vegas, so what do you expect? He agreed, haha! Doug (the bartender from the night before) was there as a customer that night and recognized us, and yelled "THAT MAN IS EVIL!" at UNLV and told the other bartender to give him Washington Apples the rest of the night. It was hilarious!
So I'm back in the grind this week. It's a little tiring after being gone almost the entire week, with the exception of one day I went to work.
